The Genesis
Geeky Vikas started with a simple idea: technology shouldn't feel complicated.
When smartphones and modern consumer tech rapidly advanced over the last few years, user manuals disappeared and spec sheets turned into a flood of marketing terminology. Consumers were left wondering whether a 200MP camera sensor actually translated into better photos for their family, or whether a high refresh rate battery penalty was worth it.
In 2021, I started creating short-form, high-utility video breakdowns under the name Geeky Vikas. The objective was simple: cut straight to practical utility. If an OS setting slows down an old phone, show how to toggle it. If a mid-range phone performs as well as a flagship for daily tasks, demonstrate it side by side.
Why I Create
Technology is personal. People spend their hard-earned income on devices that dictate how they work, capture memories, and connect with others. Delivering honest, clear, and unhyped information gives everyday users confidence in their tech decisions.
Over the past 4+ years, that philosophy has grown into an engaged community of over 565,000 followers on Instagram and 78,000 subscribers on YouTube, earning more than 100 brand collaborations with leading names in technology.
What I Do Today
Today, I split my time between full-time content production and software experimentation:
- Independent Content Production: In-depth YouTube reviews, camera comparisons, and daily Instagram tips covering smartphones, gadgets, and AI software.
- Brand Partnerships: Collaborating with consumer electronics brands and software developers on meaningful product integrations and launch campaigns.
- Software Engineering: Building tools like LoopDM to automate engagement and workflows for creators.
